S.A.S. Motorised Infantry Box Set

This box set contains 3 S.A.S. jeeps, a unit of infantry and a HMG and PIAT. The motorised units of the Special Air Service in North Africa focused on speed, surprise, and independent action. Using modified jeeps like the Willys MB fitted with heavy machine guns, they carried out fast raids on airfields, supply lines, and depots.

These units relied on mobility rather than holding ground. Infantry could dismount for close actions, while weapons such as the PIAT provided limited anti-armour capability.

In tabletop wargames, SAS motorised units are fast and disruptive but fragile. They excel at flanking and targeting vulnerable units, rather than prolonged fights.

In an army, they act as specialist support—adding flexibility, harassment, and tactical pressure alongside more conventional forces.
