D.A.K. Panzer Brigade
This box set includes 3x Panzer 3's, 2x Panzer IV's and a Tiger I.
A Deutsches Afrikakorps Panzer brigade was built around fast, hard-hitting armoured units designed for breakthrough and manoeuvre warfare. Core tanks included the Panzer III and Panzer IV, with later heavy support from the Tiger I. Together, they combined mobility, firepower, and coordination with supporting units.
In combat, these formations aimed to punch through enemy lines, exploit gaps, and encircle opposing forces. Panzer IIIs often engaged enemy armour, while Panzer IVs provided versatile fire support. The Tiger I added long-range anti-tank strength and battlefield dominance, though in smaller numbers.
In a tabletop wargame, a Panzer brigade functions as a powerful but costly core force. It excels at direct engagement, breakthroughs, and controlling key areas through superior firepower. However, it requires support from infantry and reconnaissance to avoid being outmanoeuvred or overwhelmed.
Within an army, it forms the main striking element—delivering decisive attacks while other units secure objectives and protect its flanks.
